Business Information> eBay Auctions Information
Combining cheap products from wholesalers with a massively successful
online auction website like eBay has created hundreds or possibly thousands
of very profitable small businesses around the world.

Using eBay to profit from wholesale merchandise works the same
way as a traditional bricks and mortar business works: with the
shopkeeper (eBay seller) buying products at wholesale prices from
quality wholesalers, and selling them to customers (eBay bidder)
at a higher price.
Selling wholesale products on eBay allows the seller to move the
merchandise at a much cheaper price than a traditional shop can,
as the eBay wholesaler does not have to pay the high rent and
insurance costs that the traditional store has to pay. eBay wholesalers
don't even have to pay the costs of designing and hosting a website,
only the fees that eBay charges to list a product to auction (which
are minimal).
eBay Dropshippers
If buying bulk products wholesale and posting the products to
buyers with eBay still sounds too hard or expensive, there's another
type of wholesaler called a dropshipping
company. A drop shipping company is basically a wholesaler
that will take single orders from an eBay seller and send the
wholesale merchandise to the person that bought it at auction.
The eBay wholesaler selling
wholesale products on eBay only has to cover the wholesale
costs of the product and the postage costs that the dropshipper
will charge to make a profit. No large initial outlays or expensive
storage costs will have to be paid by the eBay wholesaler, which
means that products can usually be sold for a much cheaper price,
while still being profitable for the dropshipper and the eBay
seller.
Whether you use traditional wholesale companies to purchase products
in bulk or a dropshipping company to store and send the products
for you, it may take a lot of time and research to find the right
company to work with. eBay auction listings are sometimes filled
with useless wholesale company lists, selling phone numbers and
addresses of wholesale companies that are often outdated and/or
completely fabricated details. Which means that you have to do
your homework to find the right wholesale companies to work with.
